Had small leak from a hose connected to water pump tightened jubilee clip seams to have cured that

Get a diagnostic done I had something similar turned out to be xyz switch the old ones fill with crap which affects electrical connections

I'm doing that this weekend !

If you do decide to DIY replace all the head bolts your old would have stretched when I did my recently I changed water pump and all the hoses too

Take rear cover off first and check connection to speedometer I had a similar problem with my classic turned out be loose at that end also some classics had a split cable ie two parts but not sure from which year

P38 spares sell them too thought about changing mine but my fingers still work so until I can't lift lid I'll leave it !

Four tyres of the same tread pattern cured mine

Ditto that cut screws out with a grinder so I could remove liner but on the whole a darn site easier than the back , the lack of clearance over chassis is a pain
