Thanks for your reply - do you think that the bosch ones would be any good? I think POS posted somewhere that the bosch ones were made in india or somewhere exotic - what that means in relation to quality I coudln't say as i have little experience of such things (probably soon find out!)

Agreed - td5 possibly not :doh: but seen a lot of 300tdi's on ebay for less than that! but as you say probably not the best 300tdi.

you could get one for 2k and spend the 1k getting in to shape. Then you know what youve got! also depends what you want 200tdi, 300tdi or a td5?

lol - (my new to me) defender leaks in many places - doesnt bother me as long as the seat is dry when I get in :) I get a lot of driving rain where I live which is handy in the defender :)

keep my new spare tyres above my belt - hairy tread though, good in winter:)
