Never had a fob to pieces so no idea what components are on the circuit board, but I'm guessing either a hairline crack in one of the tracks or a dry joint on one of the components where its soldered to the board, both are easily fixable once found.

OK, Thanks for your replies. I have a replacement pump taken from an L series Freelander, but everyone I have asked about changing it seems to have a differing opinion of whether they are coded or not :confused: My engine has a serious lack of power at about 2000rpm under load, so the...

Is the fuel pump on a 2000my L Series coded to the engine or can it just be swapped out? There is a block at the back of the pump with wires connected to it, and I have been told that this is either the immobiliser or the advance retard solenoid. Any info gratefully recieved.

Could I have a kit too please?

My personal experience of doing exactly this, is that straight through is far too loud, but buy a Disco back box (which is tiny) for £27 ish and cut off the excess pipe, weld to your existing exhaust, fashion a hanger and weld that on and Bob's your uncle :D
