    I've tried but can't see or get anything when I took the injectors out someone had put silicone in the injector seats!

    One other thing should there be crush washers on the 2.25d injectors? I know there on the 2.5s but mine only had the copper washers

    Excellent thank you all out and new ones ordered. I assume the new ones just tap in and are held on with grease for when you put the head back on? I think it's let a hot spot go before as it's a petrol block and the head face on number 3 cylinder is pitted. TBH glad the gasket failed much better...

    Upon cleaning the head face I've noticed all 4 hot spots are cracked. I've tried levering them out but there stuck tight any suggestions? Regards Dave

    Got the head off right on the money head gasket gone between 3 and 4. Do you need to replace the head bolts? Also I believe you tighten them all down to 35ft lbs then to 90ft lbs is this correct? Cheers Dave.

    I'm starting to think that as number 3 glow plug was a bit sooty too the ones on 1 and 2 were OK i did check it for blow by about 500 miles ago with the filler cap off wasn't any smoke coming out at all. One other thing I have removed the rocker shaft in preparation to lift the head not...

    Hi. Changed the rear hub seal on my 1972 series 3 88 back in April and the damn things sprung a leak already! My question is will the later double lipped rtc3511 seals fit the earlier axles? Cheers Dave.

    Gonna have another go at fitting it when some parts arive got some of that rocol stuff for the splines I noticed when I took the washer off the plug which is actually a9/16 unf Bolt cut down it screws in so il make another longer one and a new sealing washer.     I'm concerned about the splines on the input shaft being worn don't want to refit it if it's going to break still got the sump plug to do as well.
