    Sat Nav Rabge Rover 2007

Well, jump starting a car with so many electronic sensors and ecu boxes is never a good idea if it can be avoided. Depending on the jump leads used the car will experience high current inrush when they are connected, then a quick lift to normal voltage. Fine so far. Then you turn the key to...

    Sat Nav Rabge Rover 2007

That sounds like the firmware in the DVD drive has corrupted. What year navigation DVD are you using? Unless you're using the latest one it makes sense to update it. The DVD contains firmware for the navigation DVD drive as well as the mapping information so updating the disc also updates the...

    cigarate lighter

Yeah, so in my 2007 I have 5 sockets. 1 in the boot. Fine and live all the time. The 1 in the fromt ashtray thingy, 1 in the cubby box and 2 in the panel on the back of the cubby box. The one in the ashtray and one of the ones in the back of the cubby are on one fuse. Then the one in the...

L322 Fag Socket / Parking Sensor!!

Is there a circuit diagram on RAVE? Looking at mine it seems to be different to the earlier ones. I think there was a major electrical update in 2006 when the infotainment went from BMW to Ford based so later cars are no good as a reference.

    Which Phone

Also worth getting your bluetooth module's firmware updated if you haven't done this already. Mine was hopeless before the update but now connects fine to everything I've ever asked it to - Blackberry, iphone, HTC Desire and a couple of others. There's a bloke on Disco3 site, username WIGGS...

    Grumpy old gits

Yup, Land Rover. Turning drivers into (unwilling) mechanics since 1948. :( Enough to make anyone grumpy.

    Land Rover Prices

Well I've been looking for a project similar to yours, early pushbutton door 200TDi 90. The pure snotboxes which some people seem to think are worth 4 grand are way too numerous to list. From what I can tell, 12 months MOT and a solid chassis is worth 2 grand alone regardless of the landy...

    Ebay Complacency

Yeah, I can't see Feebay taking it down with the way it's worded. What he's doing is not illegal. Undesirable maybe but not illegal. Shame there's no pictures really which in itself might be an indication that there's no actual car to go with the ID - that WOULD be illegal. Mind you, I'd...

    l322 speaker problems

Would help to know what year L322. What audio system (BMW or Ford) and if hi line or low line. Later ones (post 2005) with Ford/Jag based infotainment systems were all Harmon Kardon of some description. Amplifier in N/S/R cubby hole along with a lot of wiring. Re-seating all the plugs often...

    cigarate lighter

Mine were like that as well (2007 L322) and there are fuses in the RH boot fusebox which control the CL sockets.

Fit Satnav screen in 03 L322

It IS technically possible but it's also a shed load of work which would involve replacing the entire infotainment loom, a lot of modules and then you would also need a Faultmate to enable it all. There is a thread here which describes how one bloke is doing exactly this, i.e. fitting Jag...

    Bit of work/beer tokens Warwicks

I'm about 30 miles up the road from you. (Junc 11 of the M42) Welcome to use my drive / tools / kettle etc. I work at home so could pitch in with some help in between phone calls etc. Any good? Alternatively I could come over one evening with tools in back of car.

    Quick intro

It would be appreciated, Sir, if you would NOT compare me to that sour faced tart :D Posh indeed. But the hunt is on for a S2a. Nice to see what the Full-Fat can actually do but probably won't be doing it too often. ;) Dom

    Quick intro

OK, happy to oblige. :D So, changed the car back in March and bought myself a Range Rover (Full-Fat, not the Sport) and went playing on Salisbury Plains with a few nice chaps from the Disco3 Club. So, it was a bit dusty out there. See what I mean? That's my lad blowing some of it off...

    Quick intro

So, been a member here for a good while. Had various Landies but thought I'd share a recent picture of me and my 2007 L322 TDV8 Vogue SE having a bit of fun on Salisbury Plains. That's me in the middle of that muddy hole :D Sure I'll have questions in the future but just Hi for now. Dom

    Defender insurance at 17???

Something which can reduce the premium is to effectively make it your second vehicle. Buy the cheapest and nastiest road legal (MOT etc) moped you can find. Insure that as well as the Landie with the same company. Ask them for "Road Traffic Act" cover only which some insurers do offer, failing...

    The Price Of Gas

Yeah I asked that too. They are still new and looking for distributors and they have few places to ship from. I put a mate their way regarding becoming a distributor since both him and me are RR and Disco lovers - the D3 forum has a courier service which could work well. Anyway, hope it's of...

Def 90 of SIIa please help decide

Looks like the general consensus is with me then. I do plan to do a proper rebuild rather than a quick bodge up, something which doesn't scare me. Used to build rally cars in the past so happy with all aspects of mechanical stuff. Also not in any great rush - have a few years to do this before...

    The Price Of Gas

Might want to take a look at Hobby Weld. You only pay a deposit on the bottle, no monthly rental. Then pay for refills as you need them. Welcome To Hobbyweld The Home Of Rent Free Welding Gas Cylinders I got one and ditched the BOC contract. Yes, the gas costs a bit more but no direct debit...
