UPDATE The RR Electrics guy came and did the diagnostics and re-synced the BeCM to the ECU. Started first time with the aid of a power pack. I've fitted new RF Receiver YWY500170 (150 quid)to hopefully rectify, so fingers crossed.

I,m hoping that when auto electrician does his bit it will be the relearn. Whether it has happened because of a weak battery that needs replacing or the rf receiver needing upgrading time will tell. If it is the rf I read that the wire can be shortened, any comments???

2001 2.5 diesel which is fairly new to me.Temperature gauge stays at 1st white line just out of the blue and stays there on a long run.Also the viscous fan is working straight from starting, is this the norm? Limited knowledge so any advice gratefully received. Cheers.

Thanks for that P38 Owner I had Low Screen Wash Warning flash up so it does dovetail in. I was under the impression that the beep was the norm when opening/closing as not received handbook yet. On the upside I've got new batteries in the fob. Cheers

Recently accquired 2.5 DT 2001, first day or two there was a beep when central locking was opened or shut through the keyfob. Then the beep stopped so new batteries were put into fob but still no beep. Any ideas as first RR. Cheers
