My first ever land rover, series 3, 88"

As I have nice new Rocky mountain slidding side window channels, I decided to get new seals that fit between the windows. So, as they were replaced figured I would polish the trim up too..

My first ever land rover, series 3, 88"

Found a donor dash that was shot too, but luckily it was the opposite end to what i needed. Cut off the steel work I needed, and spot welded it all together, so now steel is good. I tried to re vinyl but made a mess of it, so going to try a local auto trimmer, hopefully he can put sponge on...

I still need a lower dash, but I am having a go at restoring what I have.

MOT Fail on too much welding.

On the plus side, if you have done a lot of work previously, it should come apart easier if you decide on new chassis.. Those rusted bolts are always a bastard..

    dreaded MOT Series II

Sorry to jump in here, if its classed as an historic vehicle, does it mean its free from the emissions test on MOT?

    Water water everywhere

I guess your all right, riveted joints are not the best for sealing. its collecting in the out side guttering, and finding its way through. One more job to do when the weather is better, seal all the joints..

    Dare I say it..Brake problem!

I think i might have to cut some of my wing to allow for brake master cylinder! Do the 109's have different wings to allow clearance?
