    retrofit oem sub

Ufortunately, mine is a different part - XQA100070 - but I'll tell you the connections to it in case they give you some clues. There is a connector with 5 wires to it. I had to change the connector because I didn't have any exisiting subwoofer wiring. Thick black - Ground/chassis Red - 12V...

    retrofit oem sub

What is the part number of the subwoofer? There several versions. If it is the twin speaker type with a built-in amp., it might be the same as mine. I'll check the connections and let you know.

    retrofit oem sub

I just caught up with this thread. I did this job last year and am very pleased with the result. I have the "standard" ISO connected Alpine head - with no external amplifiers or subwoofer output - so just like a standard after-market radio, really. The job was made easier by using an...

    Adding an aux input

If you are prepared to do without the CD changer (which I wasn't!) there are several more options. For example, there are adapters made by GROM ( Products by SKU ), which plug into the back of the Alpine radio where the CD changer is connected and can then be operated by the steering wheel...

    Adding an aux input

It connects to the aerial socket at the back of the radio. The aerial plug connects to the new unit and you can pick up the power connections at the back of the radio, too. The installation instructions are here...

    Adding an aux input

Yes, it still uses an FM signal but the car aerial is switched out of circuit automatically when you switch this unit on to avoid interference problems. I have never experienced an interfering signal in over a year's use, and, although I don't live in an urban environment, I do travel close to...

    Adding an aux input

I know that you say that you don't want to use an FM modulator, but ........ I use the "Audiovox/DICE FMRDS-USB PRO Universal RDS USB iPod iPhone Sirius Car Adaptor" and am very happy with it. It gives me an IPOD/IPHONE interface, USB memory stick reader and aux. jack input and uses the...

    Glass tint question

Could your "surviving" glass have faded with sunlight and time? I know that some after-market tints do. So the new glass might be correct, and as it left the factory, whereas your existing glass has toned down a bit

    Speed sensor wire

Sorrry, I just re-read the whole post and realised that you are fitting oem sat nav and not Blaupunkt. Please ignore those comments.

    Speed sensor wire

Sorry you are having problems, but glad that no harm has been done. I have to say that my experience is based on VDO Dayton sat navs - basically, the same as the oem units - but I wouldn't expect the Blaupunkt units to be significantly different. The speed sensor wire from your sat nav...

    Speed sensor wire

I have just done this and found this useful reference elsewhere on this site: Speed pulse for sat nav ???? It is connector C0233 pin 9 (yellow). This is the 20 pin connector on the right side of the instruments and easy to find once you have removed the instrument cowl.

    Whats this?

Yes, there is a short grey wire which can be connected to ground, using a switch or relay, to turn the Powerbox off.

    Broke seat control switch

Do you mean "seat base finisher" AWR1088? This available from brit-car.co.uk. This is the single adjustment version. Is it just the plastic knob which is broken? I fixed mine with a bit of an allen key and a well-known 2-part adhesive. [That should invite some lewd comments! Go on...
