EAS - Harsh Ride - Calibration?

Yep, that seems to comply with Rave exactly. Access is already spot on, so I'll need to adjust the others - mainly Standard ride height. I just need the cable now - have PM'd Datatek.

EAS - Harsh Ride - Calibration?

Ok, so having resolved several issues offline thanks to Rave, I've now met my match in my latest priority - curing the ridiculously harsh ride my P38 has. In short, the EAS appears to work fine, changes height when it should, etc (despite dropping at the front over a few hours, for which I will...

    Holy crap.. 13.57 MPG!?!

Honestly, that's how she's driven *most* of the time. I got the speed demon out of me several years (and one driving ban) ago. Finally with a clean license for the first time in 5 years I'm in no hurry to lose it again. That said, my first few weeks with a 4.6 V8 and I'm going to give it the...

    Holy crap.. 13.57 MPG!?!

LOL.. not just me then! I'm sure I can get used to it.. it's just been some time since I had such a juicy motor. Kickdown works ok, the only slightly odd thing is that unless you ease off before it redlines it just bounces off the limiter.. strange for an auto and surely a fault, but I don't...

    Holy crap.. 13.57 MPG!?!

I mean, I knew it wasn't going to be great, big juicy beast that she is, but 13.57 MPG with 100 miles of that being motorway driving? Ok the rest of the tank was spent pootling around town and I'll admit I used kickdown a few times, seeing as the whole V8 experience is still new and exciting...

1995 Range Rover HSE - Some issues to overcome

Thanks David, but all those issues have been resolved, though I appreciate 10 pages of posts was probably a little too much to read through, so I'll summarise; Incorrect readings were due to a faulty multimeter and condensation only lasted a few days and never came back. Battery drain was...

1995 Range Rover HSE - Some issues to overcome

Probably the best advice I've been given so far (no offense Datatek). This just answered all my questions. Took it down the local shop, load tested horribly (the guy showed me, the voltage just disappeared under load), he stuck an equivalent battery on the load tester to show me the...

1995 Range Rover HSE - Some issues to overcome

Thanks - I already disconnected the aerial from the RF receiver, but it's still active so to speak. The range is significantly reduced, I need to be near the rear quarter to use the remote. Thanks for the advice, but I don't have any water on my carpets - they're completely dry. I reported...

1995 Range Rover HSE - Some issues to overcome

How long should it take to settle, roughly? An hour? I've charged it overnight a couple of times and haven't needed the EKA code yet (though I do have the card with it on) - I always make sure the car's unlocked with the remote before disconnecting, then lock it all up manually, I don't know...

1995 Range Rover HSE - Some issues to overcome

I'd be happy to help. Back on topic.. despite getting her down to a 0.03A reading, my batt's still losing voltage at an alarming rate. After a full charge or a long drive, she reads 12.64V. Same time next day, 11.94V. Leave her sitting for another day and she won't start. I'm beginning to...

Nothing wrong with this one, old buddy.. the 2650 and 2600 are interchangeable. The part number you should be looking for (for UK layout) is 6G514. UK keyboard 6G514 for DELL INSPIRON 2650 laptop £9.99 Buy It Now (+£3.99 P&P) - used but in good nick (all the letters are clearly visible...

No spares for that model, my friend. As drscoundrel said, eBay's your best bet.

Thanks for confirming what I already suspected - so it is indeed like all other Dell's I've dismantled.

1995 Range Rover HSE - Some issues to overcome

I'd say it's less effort to start the engine and try to drive away. If it doesn't, transfer's in neutral, if it does, it's not. Much less strain involved than pushing / jacking a Range Rover!

1995 Range Rover HSE - Some issues to overcome

Indeed - I was just suggesting a foolproof way for Baloney999 to know one way or t'other whether it's *really* in neutral, despite what the ECU's telling us.

1995 Range Rover HSE - Some issues to overcome

If it's really in Transfer Neutral, on an Auto, in D.. should you have no drive? I'd have thought that'd be the easiest way to tell whether it's lying or not?

Are relays vehicle or circuit specific?

Oh, yeah the radio works (I have no built-in sat nav). It's a 1995 petrol, if that makes any difference.

Are relays vehicle or circuit specific?

I haven't checked it yet, but have a "handbook symbol" on the ATC ECU display and I've read that the most common cause is a failed relay 7. Getting a little ahead of myself, but it occurred to me that if I found it to be faulty, I wouldn't know where to get a replacement or which one to get...
