EAS - How long to repressurise?

Yeah, I don't have an airline. Is it worth just replacing the compressor? With my level of skill (low to zip) I'm wondering what "looking at it" would entail.. It had a slow leak for a long time and letting it run with the door/tailgate open it doesn't shut off in 10 mins, or even...

EAS - How long to repressurise?

Yeah, it's not so much that the spring won't go that high.. if I hold it up, the top protrudes out as much as the old one, with room to fit the air line, etc. But as soon as I let it rest, it drops back down again on the R-clip. Left it running for an hour, nothing. Bags as saggy as an old...

EAS - How long to repressurise?

So, got the other old spring out with my new favourite tool. Have fitted the new springs, but the top doesn't seem to sit as "high" even with the R-clip in place. The hole for the air-line seems to be sunk down, making it almost impossible to get the air line to go in properly. I'm amazed...

EAS - How long to repressurise?

Sorry, already picked up a 600mm.. glad I did too, not sure the neck of the bigger one would have fit. Anyway, worked a treat! A little leverage and the spring popped right out. Happy days. Will finished the job next time I have a bit of daylight and I'm not working! Prob Sat morning now.

EAS - How long to repressurise?

I actually have to go buy myself a crowbar (or seemingly a wrecking bar) as I don't have anything like that in my arsenal of DIY tools :) 300mm, 460mm or 600mm... I'm thinking 600mm :5breddevil:

EAS - How long to repressurise?

New rear springs arrived yesterday. Made a start removing the old ones this evening, only to find the first one is corroded in place at the top. Rangerovers.net suggests this is common and to simply use brute force to remove it. Trouble is I can't get any purchase on the top of it to get it...

EAS - How long to repressurise?

Yeah, all is definitely not well then - took a lot longer than that. Good to know for future reference, thanks. Have ordered the rears - will hopefully get them fitted some time during the week, or next weekend.

EAS - How long to repressurise?

I read on rangerovers.net that the Gen 3's were redeveloped from the Gen 2 to be more like the L322 in terms of ride; Softer at normal height and stiffer at motorway, with the older revisions having opposite characteristics. Bit late now anyway, I've already bought & fitted the fronts. Might...

EAS - How long to repressurise?

Yep, Gen III's are pretty much double the price. £599 for a set of four, or £299 a pair.

EAS - How long to repressurise?

The fronts are brand new Arnott Gen III's but the rears I don't know. I guess I thought the front was the issue as it's always slowly sagged at the front, but perhaps this more recent failure is another bag going at the rear - not impossible by any stretch. The car's 17 years old and has done...

EAS - How long to repressurise?

Sadly I still seem to have a serious problem. Went out in it a few hours later and it had sunk to access height again, and wouldn't raise for the entire journey, regularly hitting the bump stops if the road got a little uneven, or if I went over a speed hump. /sigh This is where I fear my...

EAS - How long to repressurise?

Thanks for your replies guys. After coming indoors, starting this thread, getting a drink and going back outside (having left the car running the whole time) the new airsprings had inflated, I could no longer squeeze them. So I set about re-fitting the inner wheel arches and wheels, and let it...

EAS - How long to repressurise?

Hi all, I've had a slight leak in the EAS for some time, always seemed to sag on the front off-side corner, eventually hitting the bump stops after 24-48 hours. However I was always able to get the system back up to height after running the engine for a short while, less than a minute. A...

    My P38 Won't Start

I'm guessing that'll be the two-extension jobby according to RAVE. Cheers, good tip - I'll have a bash this weekend (in the snow, ugh).

    My P38 Won't Start

Ok - just bought a used starter off fleabay for £20. Hopefully that wasn't a mistake! Perhaps I should have gone new for the sake of £65? Ah well... Are they tricky to fit?
