not sure what am going to do a moment i was planing to run it untill it dies but mrs got stoped for the smoke its alittle bluish smoke on start up, but it mostly smokes a 1500-2000 rpm after that its fine lol

i thought that before mate, there is alittle play in it, the pipe isnt to oily, if the revs are held at 1500/under 2000 rpm thats when it smokes, i removed the pipe, it didnt help

breather inbetween/above the injectors? its got fresh 15-40 mineral oil in, serviced it few weeks ago and already used 1 litre of oil... it does have a slight oil leak thats runing between engine and gearbox

cheers, the engine could still run for a while yet?

you might remember my other posts about blue smoke from 200 tdi, its using oil so its now obvious its burning oil... doing a few searches its probaly piston rings or worn bores? at a 187000 miles, is it worth repairing? or just running as long as it will go

pads new/unused are early ones upto 94 i believe,after they change over to lockhead pads new/unused, four glow plugs for a 200/300tdi

isnt that the 300 tdi? i thought the 200 tdi pump was strong

can you run it through the filter then add it straight to tank, or did you have to leave it a while, why it took 4 days?

your only saving about £5, if you can get used stuff and filter it would save more.. makes sense

cheers and sorry for the thread hijack.. one more question, i read theres more risk to damaging pump using sunflower oil, this correct?? bets oil to use? 1. veg oil 2. 3.? edit: what do you use to filter the used oil before adding it?

being a tight scotman, i must give this a try. migth try some new oil first then clean the sunflower oil from chinese if the 200tdi is still going lol
