there was one on ebay the other week, £4995 for a o6 plate tdv6 with 50k on it, i replied to him, said i would pay him 10k for it, and asked him to pay me the differance. Funny how i never got a reply after that!

I have a 4.6 hse, im needing a few parts but im amazed at what the prices some people are asking:eek: , like most, im always looking on ebay and cannot believe that people are asking £120 for a door, £80 for a bumper, etc etc. p38 are very common, so why are second hand parts so exspensive:confused:

thats the one, i think it's like aspestos sheets with foil on, i had a good luck under the car last night, the underseal has started to melt so i better make some enquiries to replacing them. thanks for that

I took my hse in to have a new centre box on the exhaust, the guy told me i needed new heat pads above the cats(there wasn't any), he said that the heat has started to melt the underseal and he had heard of this happening before, car ended on fire through the carpets. Anyone heard of this...

I have a prinz lpg system fitted, had no problems with it yet:D , the mpg is twice as better, as lpg is half the price. If your parents are going to keep the P38 for many years and cover many miles then, yes it worth doing. The cost of the prinz was around £2500.

I have those alloys on mine and i'd say, because of the looks and less roll, it's a small price to pay.

Ya i know they buss, but you can clearly hear it when driving, it's loader than normal, well i think it's now packed up, the disco wont even start now:( , anyone know if replacing a pump is a hard or easy job to do?

Check the wiring loom in the cam is not leaking oil to your ecu, i had the same problem, after a new loom fitted, all was ok.

My 99 td5 fuel pump is making a noise when i switch the ignition on and when im running, it's a bussing sound. Is this my fuel pump?, if so, how easy is it to replace?.

I have the same problem, but mine started after replacing the front disc's and pads.

change the loom in the cam, it leaks from 2 blue o rings, goes down the loom to the ecu and shorts it, i had this problem, changed the loom and the gasket, reset everything and it's been fine since. £45 for the loom and gasket and £30 for a guy to reset everything.

If it's any help, my problem is, the wiring loom thats in the cam needs replacing, oil travels down the loom to the ecu and shorts out.
