Welcome BAT120mm, sounds like you were in the Artillery at some time. A disco with a 300tdi is a good all round vehicle and quite easy to maintain. Buy yourself a mig welder and learn to weld to keep the tin worm at bay and you'll save yourself a fortune and the disco will last for years.

Get your engine nice and warm then cover the electrics and battery with some plastic bags etc but be careful where you spray and use low pressure if you can.

I'm not too sure about this but I think that the diesel radiator with a manual gearbox is different to a radiator with an auto gearbox.
