    EKA Code Testing

Another question for those that know. Is it possible to try the EKA code without there being a problem with the vehicle. Or is it a case of only finding out if it works when you need it. I've read several threads on here when that situation has happened and so I would like to try my code to see...

    Centre Consul Switch Pack

A quick question for the experts. My sunroof operates intermittantly when I operate the switch on the switch pack but then when it is open or raised at the back I can close it without any problem using the remote when locking the vehicle. I'm assuming the switch pack is the problem so before I...

    On a positive note......

I've got a Discovery 3 and if you read the problems they have you wouldn't touch them with a barge pole. I've had mine for five years now and the first four years I had no problems. Last year it did throw it's toys out a couple of times during the summer but at the moment all is ok. I've also...

    P38 Rolling restoration project.

John The interior is in very good condition. I will shampoo the head lining to get rid of any smoking odour and the carpets. You have to clean the carpets dry so as not to upset the BeCM under the drivers seat. The drivers seat although in good condition with only minor stretch marks in the...

One of the best looking P38 conversions ?

I agree with everything that has been said. Why paid a considerable amount of money on the bodywork and not deal with the tear in the leather on the drivers seat. Certainly not for me, but each to their own.

    Rear air bags removed

Thanks for all the comments, finally fitted new ones today and all went well. The problem pipe went in ok and the bulge in the pipe just rests against the release collett. I've tested both pipe unions with soapy water and no bubbles, thank god. Now on to fitting new discs and pads all round.

    Rear air bags removed

Hi All Eventually got the blighters off. But I noticed that although the air pipe released ok there are some score marks on the end where it pushes into the coupling. I don't want to chance having an air leak. What I would like to know is it alright to put a new lenght of pipe in using a inline...

Replacing rear air springs on a P38

Thanks everyone for your recommendation it will give me some ideas to try on Friday. I was thinking of cutting away the air bag and then attacking it from underneath. how strong are the air bags would a stanley knife do the job or would a hacksaw be better.

Replacing rear air springs on a P38

Hi All I've read a number of posts on here about the seized top plate of the rear air spring on the P38. I've got the same and what I would like to know is what gets seized, is it the raised part of the top plate which the air pipe goes into, is it a tight fit through the chassis, or is it the...

Hi CharlesY Thanks for the additional info. Does this problem happen even if the filter is changed at LR service schedules, or if it is a low mileage use vehicle. Thanks Roger

    Warm Fuel Fiter

Hi Sean Thanks for the comments. It's a 02 TD5. It was pointed out to me by the MOT examiner and he put the question to me. His comment was that they are all warm and he didn't know why. Thanks Roger

    Warm Fuel Fiter

Hi All Why is the fuel filter quite warm after say about a eight mile journey. It's position is behind the o/s rear wheel and well clear of the exhaust. Is there a heater in the fuel pump unit? Thanks for any comment Roger 47

    How hard is hard

Hi All I've been looking at a '98 HSE 4.6. I haven't as yet taken it for a road test. But whilst I was looking the car over the engine was running on idle for some 20 to 30 mins without any problems and had obtained running temp as per the gauge. When I checked under the bonnet I squeezed the...
