Terrafirma shocks - so far so good.

I figured as they were rusting through and full of holes - If they ain't on there, they can't be tested! :D

Terrafirma shocks - so far so good.

No probs at MOT - they were all full of holes anyway. Should there be a prob at MOT? If so why? Cheers.

Ribble Valley 4x4 - good impressions!

Just a mention that RV 4x4 in my opinion are another good supplier of Landy parts worthy of mention. Yes, they are a Britpart stockist......, but they do stock OEM stuff too! :bounce: for all manner of LRs I've used them a few times now, not for mail order, but to collect parts in person -...

Terrafirma shocks - so far so good.

A couple of weeks back I decided to get some replacement shocks seeing as the rear's had evidence of weeping - nothing drastic. I've had the D2 TD5 for 2 years & no idea how long the shocks have been there. Got a complete set of Terrafirmas for £137 from Ribble Valley 4x4 - my local landy parts...

    Traction control question

The TC should be able to get you out of a cross axle situation. Yes, dodgy test - hopefully the axle stands won't hit anything vital as they get dragged over. Does the Disco brake alright when on road? Pull up in a straight line? You're not missing some brake pads etc? ;)

    Turbo wastegate modulator pulse test

OK sorted! :D MAP sensor going faulty regarding inlet temperature reading! Whilst driving over to Ribble Valley 4x4 after work to pick up the sensors, the flat spot manifested itself big time. Plugged in the Hawkeye and got IAT fault active! Looking at live data, the IAT was pegged at 119.9...

    ECU fault codes Td5

I've had CAN error fault, but my Hawkeye doesn't show that. Not sure about the others.

    Turbo wastegate modulator pulse test

Cheers John - I've gone and ordered a MAP & a MAF from Ribble Valley 4x4 £170 all in for OEM stuff (VDO and Bosch presumably). Might have to arrange a meet up sometime anyway though!

Transfer Box TD5 - 5 Liltres of oil came out of my transfer box

Also, as you probably know, the transfer box uses EP75/90 or equiv. and the gearbox uses MTF94 (basically an engine oil).

    Turbo wastegate modulator pulse test

No John. I might try that when it happens again. The lack of power is random, most of the time she's performing OK (sierra says the numbers are a bit low, but she seems to go). EDIT: The MAF readings always seem pretty good, around 70 at idle and over 600 on full bore.
