Cracked front bumper - Drifter's Stitch

I wish, bob, I wish!! ..... Then again, using metal tie wraps..? :mad2: Nah! Any flex and they'd start sawing each other apart I guess.

Cracked front bumper - Drifter's Stitch

I thought about that, but with the red ones it looks like a battle scar ;)

SLABS ECU swap what is involved?

Sorry for the thread hijack! I have a Hawkeye with V5 software. The table on Bearmach's site shows the V7 features (nothing new for D2 TD5). Is it worth me getting an upgrade -I don't know what v6 encompassed (my D2 is on coils at the back, height sensors removed)?

    My D2 v8 pic

Leave as is. OK a wide, fat look is great, but a bit more hassle, and I'm not sure if wheel spacers put more strain in the hubs...

    My 1st Landy

I'd go for the Disco 2, but then again, I'm somewhat biased! ;) A D2 is more capable off road than a freelander imho.. and it's proper 4 wheel drive with live axles, a transfer box and low & high ratios....:flame:

    Sat nav disk

Er.. WELCOME! (first post should have been in the Introduction section ;) ) Anyway, what satnav system is it? Reason I ask is my 2001 Discovery 2 system happens to be a VDO Dayton PC3200 and you can still get updated CDs for that:- vdo dayton sat nav | eBay EDIT: Have a surf around the Range...

I'll have a look on mine and get back to you.

Any licensed hams on here ??

Not me, but one of the previous owners of my D2. I found what appear to be callsigns written in the back of the sat nav instruction manual, not to mention various screw holes in the headlining and centre console.

Cracked front bumper - Drifter's Stitch

So, finally got around to closing up the crack in the front bumper via something I found out about on youtube - a Drifter's Stitch. A bit more permanent than duct tape & a lot less expensive than plastic welding (I don't have a plastic welding kit). I don't have any rivets for my pop riveter either!

Really annoying Freelander TD4 rear window issue

Er... WELCOME! seeing as this is your first post. Head on over to the freelander section and post your question/request in there. LZ International Rescue is used for urgent breakdown help - vehicle stuck in a ditch, etc.

    Front bumper trimming

I have heard that angle grinders are pretty crap when trying to cut plastic, but then again I didn't try and use one.

    Abs cables

The front ones are longer, perhaps try one of those.
