    Almost stolen last night

Previous post was just a few ideas of stuff commercially available. Get your plan together of how you are going to try to stop them. In the meantime use what ever you can. Be creative  In the time after 1st attempt before I got me security properly sorted I used anything from trip...

    Almost stolen last night

A few weeks ago, someone had repeated attempts at mine. Def. fit a disklok, with wheels on full lock when left. Also look at :- SAA5020 - PIR Siren Alarm with Remote Keyfob - Yale UK or something similar. It's loud, cheap and no wires to cut etc. A security parking bollard/post also...

    Diff Lock question - 110

During the snowy spell in January, I ended up towing a few stuck cars that had slid off the road. One day I towed a long wheelbase transit van up a 1/7 hill. The hill was covered in sheet ice, that you struggled to stand up on let alone anything else. I reversed down to the stuck transit van...

    Warning in nottingham !!

Decent gates seem to keep them out, plus they don't seem to be able to get past those disk padlocks for some reason. Also I had noticed foot prints (from them) on bumper, and someone else had noticed foot prints on their bonnet too. Would someone please enlighten me as to what they may have...

    Warning in nottingham !!

It has now been a full fortnight without any more attempts on stealing me 110, since upgrading all me security etc. They had 3 attempts on my 110 in the 2 weeks previous to that, plus one scoping visit seen by neighbours. The Somercotes, Selston, South Normington areas are hot spots at...

How hard can it be to steal 'your' own landy??

Thanks for answering that, as i was wondering whether me disklok was worth putting on after reading earlier post. Made me shudder when reading the 'how to do it'. Started gettin a bit twitchy after recent events. It's hard sometimes posting something that is informative, I'd rather know if...

    Warning in nottingham !!

Appologies for not replying earlier. I have had an Easter of hell, trying to get on top of the situation, which involves not much sleep/waitin for em till 5am/ a shed load of graft & work & cash as well as informing police etc. In between staying up for two nights, and fitting more security...

    Warning in nottingham !!

They payed me a visit last night and had another failed attempt at mine, again dispite other 'obvious' security measures. Wake up now each morning with that gut wrenching feeling of : is landy still there, and is it still in one piece.

How hard can it be to steal 'your' own landy??

True. But I can't help feeling that if I hadn't read some of these posts, and acted on their advice, I wouldn't have me defender right now. It would be in some container somewhere on it's way out of the country.

How hard can it be to steal 'your' own landy??

My 110 was targeted last saturday. Already had disklok. Fortunately had put in security post the week before, and that was enough to stop em going any further, even though they made a mess of the post itself. Since then uprated security, as me 110 is me pride n joy, family motor, taken ages...

    Defender Security

There's been a lot a landies stolen round Derbyshire local to me. Me local landy garage warned me of a few going missing within a mile of where I live . So I too been upgrading landy security. Got a disklok and put a security post in drive last weekend. Not sure how much 'real'...
