Hiya Steve how you doin? As it says above i do have an oil cooler it only ever gets luke warm to the touch dont think oil temp is the problem:(

That is what my original one looks like some one suggested that my Rad might be gunged up? I had no problem with my 225Diesel but i am trying to source a reasonably priced series Rad to give it a try. But i will try and get a new stat and try that too

Mine is running that sort of temprature all the time with the fan running:( Where did you get your stat from? what do ask for discovery stat or other?

I have removed the thermostat completely I am using the standard series gauge with a Steve Parker conversion with fan in full it runs at half temperature but as soon as i start to climb any sort of hill and give it some gas it goes up to three quarters until i back off. I recon the gauge is...

Isn't that a Renault engine in that? I had a 54 plate Navara once 54 K was Knocking like it was full of bricks that had a Renault engine:eek:

My H reg Disco1 200TDI is now showing just over 205000 still the original engine only thing that has been changed apart from the service parts is the water pump and i have the complete service history to back it up still stars every morning (warm or cold day) on the button without heater plugs:D

Anyone know of one in the midlands? Dudley area?will be a usefull sorce of bits:)
