My first off-road experience in the FL… I was a little anxious as I first turned off the road, but the trusty (ahem) FL held its own on the 2 degree gradient of my driveway, vicious slope that one. I then had to contend with passing between two large trees (in reverse I might add)...

I have to admit, I am glad I bought it now, after it got a little drier.. Perhaps LR should have made an advert for the Freelander - you know, with the reassuring door closure noises as per VW's Golf... ?? A tin can should be able to provide the sound effect in this instance.... Much...

Thank you... I guess that's the beauty (if you can call it that) of owning one.... I was told a Defender would have been a step to far... if you catch my drift... ;)

Hi All, pleased to have become a member as of this morning. Just returned to owning a Freelander, after a small break, I sold my old 1.8 petrol, and have now picked up an 04 TD4 HSE - and am very pleased to have a very clean low mileage example this time. Cheers Redwingback.
