Do you top up with engine while running till fluid comes out, as i ran it to get to temp whilst filling it then tured it of and let the excess drian, think this might be my mistake?

Just changed my trans fluid, didnt use texaco used a motaquip ATF type D11, now car wines when i drive it, is this oil a suitable alternative all be it not quite as good as texaco or have i been given the wrong type of fluid all together, or will it wine till the fluid get fully distributed...

Is the part number for the left hand hose as you look in the bonnet PNH000020 the one that comes from the cooler to the engine, cheers.

Found it! left hand pipe, stab wound! beer can, some duct tape and cable ties for a temp fix, took it for a spin and all is fine. Will order a new one now I know witch one it is, thanks for all the help, you have saved me a few quid I reckon.

These cooler pipes, are they the hard plastic ones top front of engine or the flexi ones as i have had a right good look at all pipes?

Help please, when i get my freeby on the boost it sounds, in the car, like ive put the heater fan on full, i know its not that but that's the sound i can hear, like there's an air leak under pressure somewhere, also allot of black smoke when boosting, im certain its not the actual turbo but more...

thought that might have something to do with, will a clean out do for now till i replace it?

Boys (and ladies) do any of you know if the o/s/r door lock is the same as the o/s/f door lock as there seems to be loads of locking mechs for sale but no drivers door ones. Thanks in advance:confused:

Repair done, took ages as cable to short, had to adapt it and got there in the end, still was better and cheeper than buying a new one!:doh:

Its taken me 3 years to notice them being on all the time, sounds a bit daft them always being on, whats the point?, every other car ive had you turn them on manually, if this is the case thanks for sorting it out, one less repair i dont have to do, cheers.

On all the time the ign. is on, they go of when the ign is of. I have heated front screen and thought the one switch turned on both? is this the case?

Electric heated mirrors stay on all the time even when the switch is of, removed the relay in the drivers side fuse box, made no differance, think this one only does the heated screen (correct me if im wrong). Need to know if there is a seperate one for the heated mirrors and its location if...
