I just found the wire that goes to the reversing lights and took the feed from that, been no trouble for 3 years, what i will do tomorrow is look to see how and what colour the wire was and get back to you .

We had a P38 DSE in our local 4x4 workshop with a problem like yours and we cured it by putting a one way valve in between the filter and injector pump fuel line, i see you've replaced the leak off pipes on the injectors as they will cause the problem you are having

Its the imobiliser, locking then unlocking should clear the message or a eka code in the lock but if your taking the engine out to put in your vehicle it should not be a problem, i have had my P38 for 6 years so i know a bit about them but maybe someone can answer your question better than me
