    removing front bumper

As Blippie says, get yourself a RAVE CD and go from there. It's not hard though - half a dozen or so bolts that are easy to find and undo plus two (slightly) trickier ones hiding behind the wheel arch liners. Cheers Rog

    Roof Rack

Anyone seen a cheap version of this for sale anywhere? DIFFLOCK - Freelander Roof Rack This is exactly what I want (eg A flush fitting low roof rack) but these guys want £600 just for the rack and another £50 for the lamp brackets. Must be a cheaper option somewhere? Cheers Rog

    td4 mpg

I tried 32psi after reading posts on here and found the ride too hard and had some mild vibrations. Dropped to 30 psi all round and feels much better. Didn't notice any difference with mpg... Cheers Rog

    Whats it worth?

You did well! The last few months haven't been kind to FL values (or any 4x4s!). Road tax threats, fuel prices, etc are not our friends!! Rog

    Whats it worth?

Hi Just looked in Glass's Guide for you and that age and mileage (assuming a 5 door) comes in at a trade value of about £800. We normally say to add about £400 to this for a private sale meaning you're looking at about £1200 for it. As usual in this game, if you are in a hurry you'll have...

how do you use the hill descent thingy

HDC can be selected with the vehicle in any gear, but will only operate once 1st or reverse gears (‘1’ or ‘R’ for automatic transmission) are engaged. With HDC selected, if 1st or reverse gear have been engaged, the HDC information light (GREEN) in the instrument panel...

    Help on Tyres...?

Generally, a FL with 17's will only really work with pretty low profile tyres which means that AT options will be pretty limited. Most 17" AT tyres are designed with bigger vehicles in mind. Whether you can change the tyre width will depdn on the design of you wheel but it is unlikely you...

    whats it worth

While a lot of dealers use Glasses Guide, some dealers use CAP Black Book which is generally 10% or so lower than GG prices. Most dealers use both and will quote you the lowest price from the two books. You will also often find that cars being PX'd are valued using CAP while those up for sale...

    whats it worth

Just checked this month's Glasses Guide and you should only be looking at £2000 private or about £2500 from a trader/dealer. Anything more and they're taking the mick - or they've valued it using Parkers!! Cheers Rog

1st day of my freelander ..not good , any advice ?

They are legally obliged to sort it - Just because they don't have the expertise/knowledge/equipment is irrelevant. Insist that they send it somewhere else if they can't do it even if that means they have to stump up for a main dealer to have a look. Your car has a fault (which you say they...

1st day of my freelander ..not good , any advice ?

Doesn't really matter what the problem is - You've just bought the car from a garage so it's up to them to sort it out! They should arrange to get your car back to themselves or to a repairer to get it sorted. It's very common to find problems with a second hand car as the previous owner would...
