    C-Pillar Replacement

I know what you mean! I had avoided looking under the bits of chequer plate for a year then one foolish moment with a drill and screwdriver. The sill rail etc is all good as far as I can tell. Needs a new floor in the rear tub but that will be for another day and I can do that myself. It's just...

    C-Pillar Replacement

I am in the process of fitting out the back of the 110 for a trip to Morocco in October. The previous owner had put two strips of chequer plate down the bottom of the C-Pillars  Well a bit of drilling and poking about with a screw driver showed why! The bottoms are fairly well none...

    Turner gasflowed performance

The chap I bought my 110 from had one of these engines fitted. I've not got anything to really compare it with as this is my first defender but it does seem to run very well and pulls like a train cruising at 70 no problems. Not cheap but then I didn't pay for it :-)

    Defender 300 TDi Project!

Have you had a look at a swing away rear wheel carrier? Best of both worlds, wheel out the way on the back and very little stress on the back door as most of the weight is transferred to the rear crossmember.

    Rear Head Lining Refurb

I used Trim-Fix High Temperature Adhesive on mine. I re-did the whole headlining using quite a thick lining material over 9 months ago and it hasn't budged at all. You do get through a bit and make sure you spray both surfaces but it does seem to be doing the trick. Even after a few hot days...

    Mixed Suspension Bushes

Cheers gents for the info..... Saves one job for now :-) Super Pro bushes have been fine to fit so far. I just used a big bolt through the cotton reel style radius bushes, nut and washers and then tightened it up, pulled it through into the radius arm no problem. Took about 20minutes to fit...

    Mixed Suspension Bushes

I am replacing the bushes throughout and appreciate the need to make sure all front are completed as one before moving onto back rather than completing one side then the other. I have done the radius arms and have fitted new SuperPro bushes. I am moving onto the Panhard Rod and as it was a...

    Strange ignition issue!!

Have you checked condition of the loom as far as you can? I had very similar symptoms to you and I finally traced it to part of the loom as it exits the chasis at the rear, by the fuel tank. When the previous owner had replaced the rear cross member I think he had crushed this section causing a...
