Hi Simon, welcome! I'm in Suffolk too, albeit right on the border with the bad lands of Essex. Re the coolant - do you know if your head gasket has been done? It might be that the block has shifted as rear early TD5s. Also the rad is known to leak, but that would show up on the pressure test...
