Hi, Only some suggestions, had one of these 5 years ago and did lots of work to it. Make sure it's running properly in the first place, after that it's the usual - improved air filter - exhaust - EGR valve removal kit - turbo/intercooler and so on ............ as with all motors...

Great post ! I've just suffered the oil in the injector wiring loom problem complete with the oil in the Red ecu plug on my disco td5 03. I'm all set with the new parts - injector loom and cover gasket etc etc but what concerns me is the part of the loom that isn't replaced as it still has oil...

Hi all :), After limping home on Sunday with a sick motor thinking the worst (injectors!) i've identified the very common td5 problem of oil entering the injector loom ........... the oil dripped from the plug on the ECU !! So the parts have turned up .......... new loom and a cover gasket...
