    Transfer box oil slow drip

I admit I'm confusing my self on IDing parts on the photo. There is a small apace between the transfer box and gear box and there is a lot or muck in there. Also I blew down the breather I found in the engine bay at the back, I could blow. I'm new to all the mechanical stuff!

    Transfer box oil slow drip

Drips off a gear box bolt (on the right) and all the area around there is oily after being dry all last night then driving around this morning. It's not red so it's not ATF. When i changed the oil last week there was a lot in there and changed the copper washer too. It's nice and tight on there.

    Transfer box oil slow drip

200Tdi 110 defender. I changed the transfer box oil and gear box fluid the other day and the drip it still there. It only happens after I run the car for a while. I cleaned up some of the grime and the drip looks like it's coming from in between the gear box and transfer box. What do you...

    Excessive play in steering

Worn ball joint? I has that and the drop arm was stuck on like someone welded it there! Should have just changed the ball joint maybe? It's pressed in though.

I did pump the hose and it feels like there's no air in it, will remove the filler cap also.

    What version is this dash?

Also mine was held up with Gafer tape at one point. There is a bit of plastic missing from the bolt at the top. The leavers for the blowers only work when the unit is in the correct position.

    What version is this dash?

I've got a 1991 200tdi, same dash and I understand the 'choke' symbol is actually the glow plugs. It's summer now and it does not start unless the plugs do their job first. Sometimes it does not start first time, been told my starter motor needs a wee clean...

Steering box and drop arm removal nightmare

Also sorry I meant power steering fluid. Seen photos that there's a gauge on the lid, mine has not. Think common sense and making sure it looks full is enough.

Steering box and drop arm removal nightmare

If the hoses need to be cut, where do you recommend getting new ones? Would Hanfords sell flexible hoses and correct unions? Doing the job on Sunday and it needs to be on the road for Monday. I could order the parts in advance maybe? Thanks for the advice!

Steering box and drop arm removal nightmare

Can I ask for any tips on steering box removal please? The hoses in the top are solid I think? Also what fluid do you need and where can you get it from please? Also side note but not too important, the lid to the oil reservoir has no dip stick? Can you buy new lids?
