When I check for parts for my 5 door TD4 on places like the bay, on the compatibility list it sometimes says suv (open), same year but my Landy comes up as incompatable. Can't find any explanation on line, so what is it ?? I know someone will enlighten me.lol

Cheers for that Arctic, cant be bothered to strip it off every 6 months or so, got an Audi tt 2001 to maintain as well..comes with its own TT known faults lol. still got a non-working window and a thermostat issue, oh and my FBH dosnt work on the Freelander to be going on with.

Hi carl just wondered what EGR you fitted and where did you get it, I am looking to fit one soon but some of the posts recommending particular ones are too old and the links have gone, been looking on the bay but still not sure which one to go for, anyone recommend one to me ? cheers for any help.

well I thought, lets have a go at this in line thermo....actually cutting off the band was the easy bit, great I thought soon sort this out.How wrong I was then !! took the hose off completely as I couldn't get the thermostat far enough down the hose with it on the car, even then with hot water...

Hi teddywood The air filter that I plan to use is the pipercross, same make as on my Audi TT , no need to oil them, it's the K&N filters that need oiling, As to the sunroof....it was just the glass part bonded to the metal frame that I bought, the runners etc didn't need any Replacing, mind you...

thanks arctic, not sure about removing the manifold, never done it before and what about tightening up in sequence or torque settings ? don't have a torque wrench either....must buy one someday, mind you if I did take it off, could de-gunk it at the same time as my FL has done 122000 miles.

okay, so now bought one from the bay... £11:64, so will see what happens when I try to fit it. haha not looking forward to the fitting though...lol

cheers actic2 I might just do that then, cheaper as well, but just didnt fancy the aggro of ripping the hose band off, is it best to take something else off to get to it easier ?

Hi all I know it's been a while but I have just got my freelander 1 and have the lukewarm heater prob, so after reading the threads about the in line mod, I looked on eBay and The rover 75 mod is listed twice, 1: with a 88c thermostat and 2: with a choice of thermostats and different inlet...

great news....I will have a go when it arrives then, expensive but worth it in the long run as I am keeping this one.:p

was it as easy as undoing the side bolts then just replacing the roof glass and redoing the bolts up ? also did it stop the leaks more importantly.. Allen.

hi arctic I have just ordered a new one for my 5 door 2004 today, cost £123 new, inc vat and delivery....cheapest around trust me, I have looked. if you haven't got one yet I can tell you where.
