will this work on a 2004 td4 facelift with power mirrors as well ?

my freelander td4 2004 facelift has only 1 key and fob and I am going to france in easter, yes I know what your thinking........so how much to get a new set and any suggestions for other than the stealer price....cheers.

My heater was really pathetic, hardly felt it but now hot! and my gauge sat between 10 and 11 o'clock on the dial, if yours does not sit at 12 o'clock after a short while then your thermostat has probably stuck open. Worth changing your thermo one way or the other.

Hi dog-man my original thermostat is stuck open like they all do, so you can still put another one in line, and no it doesn't cause any problems....loads of Rover 75 owners have done it for years and reported no probs that I know of.

I to tried to fit the renault one in the hose but just couldn't get it in that's why I went for the other one, works for me....BTW I still have the stat I bought sitting in my garage if anyone needs it.

looking at your pics, why cant you fit it in where the joins are in pic 1 and 2 ? just undo them and slot the unit there ? why is the join in the hose there ?

hi roshe25 mine is a manual, and I think your auto has an extra pipe coming from the engine side, so long as you have 6cm gap you can cut out of the hose, you should be okay, put some pics up of your pipes if you can.

Hi all, I have just finished last weekend fitting the aluminum in line thermostat mod so favored by the Rover 75 guys, so I thought that I would share my experiences about fitting it to my 2004 TD4, I bought the one in the pic from "specialistcomponents" on the bay for £58 and it has a 88deg...

are those the aftermarket ones you fitted tyrefitter ? and do they work well ? I've got a nearside rear to do sometime.:(

Just finished doing mine this weekend Arctic with the alloy one cut into the hose, Will post pics etc soon but it all seems to work and heater is much hotter.

rovermgfan had fitted one to his TD4 in 2013 according to his posts, but I will soon see as I have ordered it and hopefully it will go in the top hose, pray pray....:eek:

Arctic2, do you mean by "inline" that it's the method of sticking the thermo down the hose, or do you meen the aluminium device cut into the hose that can't be fitted ?

so could you release the radio without stripping out the consul then ? should fit mine then as mine is a 2004 hse update, just looked at my navisat radio and yes there are two slots at the bottom, never noticed them before....top job dfossil.
