    wheelarch extensions/sh parts suppliers

Hi all Being new to LR my usual Mercedes sources are not much use. I want to freshen up my new-to-me '96 disco and was thinking that the rubber black arch extensions from later cars is a good place to start. Anyone got a source? Also, are there any well-respected s/hand parts suppliers...

Well, I have gone and done it. Picked up a 300tdi auto Disco on the 23rd, but had/still have man-flu since :( She came to me as a bit of a shed, but a couple of hours with "da man" and she now looks a lot more presentable. Knackered battery, faulty window switch (i think), rotten rear step and...

It's probably sacrilege but I like comfort too much for a defender. Sold an S Class merc to make way ;) That said I've heeded the warnings and the search for a sub-£2500 Discovery automatic has pushed on.

    v8 probs?

It will be used as a 5k miles p.a commuter then weekend trips to kids fottie etc. Could also very likely be used to tow a car trailer.

im normally opposed to tarted up grills for the P38 but what you make of this?

Me too,, I can never understand sellers who don't show items like that "in action". Maybe it actually looks ***** or doesn't fit so a fitted pic would slow down sales

So moving forwards I have done loads of market searching, getting conflicting advice left right and centre. Mate of mine (ex g wagen owner like me) reckons a diesel disco is the way to go, avoid v8 lpg like the plague. Contact at another forum reckons for what I want it needs to be a Rangie but...

Surrey, not that thats an issue. To clarify I'm not a green-laner at this stage (even though I've had 3 x *-Wagens thought I'd better admit that quietly!!) Cant see any classifieds here?

    v8 probs?

v8 is good. This'll be the 6th, no 7th. A 4.2 common rail diesel v8 is not for poofs or buses btw ;) Still got that one...

    v8 probs?

Hi all Almost in the fold ;) Looking at either a v8 range/disco or a 300tdi. Must be auto. Several I've seen have engine rebuilds/boiling problems. One that interest me is using water. I'm well up for reasonable amounts of work, plenty enthusiastic tinkering experience on Benzes. What...
