Well, I have gone and done it. Picked up a 300tdi auto Disco on the 23rd, but had/still have man-flu since :( She came to me as a bit of a shed, but a couple of hours with "da man" and she now looks a lot more presentable. Knackered battery, faulty window switch (i think), rotten rear step and...

It's probably sacrilege but I like comfort too much for a defender. Sold an S Class merc to make way ;) That said I've heeded the warnings and the search for a sub-£2500 Discovery automatic has pushed on.

It will be used as a 5k miles p.a commuter then weekend trips to kids fottie etc. Could also very likely be used to tow a car trailer.

Me too,, I can never understand sellers who don't show items like that "in action". Maybe it actually looks ***** or doesn't fit so a fitted pic would slow down sales :rolleyes:

been offered two mid 90's range rovers. first one interior not brilliant for me around 145k miles 4.6 hse had an engine 35k ago supposed to be very good long test and tax but miles away. 2nd one similar although i think model misdescribed 180k close by apparently superharged mint condition any...

You coud try some hi-viz yellow stripes down the sides, that may work ;)

So moving forwards I have done loads of market searching, getting conflicting advice left right and centre. Mate of mine (ex g wagen owner like me) reckons a diesel disco is the way to go, avoid v8 lpg like the plague. Contact at another forum reckons for what I want it needs to be a Rangie but...
