MOT coming up- what shall i do about tyres?

My MOT is coming up, and I am probably looking to need a full set of new tyres to do it properly. My question is should I just replace the tyres on each ranging from £100-£190 per tyre, or should I buy a used upgraded set on ebay then sell my old ones. I think this may be the cheaper option, and...

    Lumpy upon start up

good advice thanks for that. I will try a little petrol in with a full tank and see. Just drove it a minute ago, seems like the uneven revs go away when warm I expect it is a sticky injector. However, what are the symptoms of the low pressure fuel pump dieing?

    Lumpy upon start up

Just drove home from the gf's. Noticed it was a bit lumpy on start up. Then pulling off at about 1500 rpm the engine seems to be lumpy. You reckon this is a sticky injector or low pressure fuel pump related?

I think my gearbox has died (sob sob)

He said it would be a waste of money as he can do a high pressure flush through the oil cooler to remove any possible swarf. He has supported this with a warranty so he must be confident. 30 years in the game must count towards something!

I think my gearbox has died (sob sob)

I didn't discuss the finer details with him as I was pushed for time. But that included removal of gearbox, reconditioning of the box and torque converter new oil, flushing of ancillary parts and refitting. I think that is a very good price. Hows your gearbox saint? Behaving itself post fluid...

I think my gearbox has died (sob sob)

The beast is back! Hooray! Picked her up yesterday from Solihull- really nice chap- Ken from Transmission Technology. All in £1300.00 (inc. VAT.)! We discussed the need for a new oil cooler and pipes to which he said it would not be necessary- a proper flush would remove any debris. I have taken...

I'm really into it. Sat in one at Riders Land Rover- It's a really nice place to be. The tdv8 powerplants are something else...bloddy amazing. Although the price of £95k did make me choke slightly!

The much Lamented L322 ZF Gearboxes....

We should start a club for L322 gearbox owners with issues... I am sure we would always have good numbers. Or a rescue fund for that matter

I think my gearbox has died (sob sob)

Yer, your right there pal! Just need to get in sorted now. Toying with the idea of selling it as it is- and cutting my losses, I paid 7.5k 6 months ago, it would probably get 6k now, just a thought

What did you do with your Range Rover today

Yer same as mine deasy, I think it is just extra strain put on the battery- heater, heated seats, glow plugs all needed a lot more in the cold, which spooks a sensor when starting up. When I drove mine for half hour, then parked up and started again- I had no problem.

What did you do with your Range Rover today

I had this Deasy this week before the gearbox went, I believe it is caused by poor current from the battery. Try trickle charging it over night (don't leave it connected obviously)

I think my gearbox has died (sob sob)

So if I bought that one on ebay from your mate bill, I would also need to source a new LR oil cooler, pipes and oil? Plus find someone prepared to fit it. Is the actually removal and fitting of it a pain? How many garage hours?
