Upgrading 02' HSE stereo to aftermarket Sat Nav

Hi all My question is- I have an 02 td6 HSE which has the ugly non- sat nav stereo in situ. I have seen on previous threads here that some of you have upgraded to an aftermarket sat nav, DVD, stereo, and bluetooth unit for a good price. Has anyone got any experience of installing these...

Anyone with an l322 diagnostic in Cornwall?

Thanks texPic, its not the TC as I have just had it reconditioned. I did experience the indecision between gears at that rev range, but that has been resolved with the g-box and TC recon. This sounds more like an injector which is overfueling/underfueling causing an uneven rev pattern.

    New owner questions

I don't want to swear but have you considered a Lexus RX460 Hybrid- it will be more reliable and more economical than a Range Rover. It will also be easy to load into/and out from and still have a safe elevated driving position. My neighbour has one and it is really quite annoyingly good!

Anyone with an l322 diagnostic in Cornwall?

The IID tool looks pretty good- seems to do everything I need it to- including EAS calibration should I have issues there along the line. I may need a little help- a bit delusional due to not eating for two days! It looks like a tie betweeen the Hawkeye and the IID tool- but the IID tool seems...

Anyone with an l322 diagnostic in Cornwall?

Thanks a lot Saint, that's great. I will have a gander at the options then. I don't really think I can justify £1000 on a diagnostic device at the moment :( Can you clarify what you mean by- 'read live data'? And which of these devices DO NOT require a laptop plugged in to them, as I only have a...

Anyone with an l322 diagnostic in Cornwall?

Hi all Just got back from my brother's 22nd in Dublin, came back with food poisoning- not good at all! Anyway, my engine has still got an uneven rev to it, and sounds like a cylinder or two might be overfueling/underfueling. Will plugging it in to a diagnostic box detect this- or will I only...

A load of toffs in my beetle!

My girlfriend's dad put five or six cars through the agency- Rolls Royces, E types, Fiat 500 etc. All came back later than expected- but in fine condition. It's a gamble- but there are returns to be made

HSE- its a December 02 car. I find the spec just right for me. Yours is a HSE badge as well?

Looking to replace P38 with L322

Oh really, didn't know they did an SE model. Does yours have a sunroof? Mine doesn't but glad about that as well- I don't like them and they have a tendency to leak! Mine has got the front and rear sensors plus xenons- so not that downgrade!

Looking to replace P38 with L322

But like you say- more to go wrong- i suppose mine is probably fairly low spec- no sat nav, heated rear seats or heated steering wheel. But more than happy with it!

A load of toffs in my beetle!

About 40% of the value of the car- plus they fitted a brand new roof and fixed a paint scrape on the rear wing- not bad really!

Looking to replace P38 with L322

When Hippo says there are some 'real basic spec HSE's out there' I let out a little LOL! 'One often struggles when one is given a Range Rover without rear heated seats'!- hardship at its worst! My L322 has regally bashed my bank account since Christmas to the order of approx £2,500- g-boc...

Yes, it is a sad time for me- forced to change my name. Here's to a new start!!! Oh and Rodntod, Beetle's are reliable beasts- there is nothing to...

My mate just told me he saw my Beetle appear on tonight's episode of Antiques Roadtrip. I knew it would come up soon! Quite strange seeing Herbie on the silver screen!
