    300Tdi Disco bad steering

I shall get the tracking done at the same time Dave. Can't wait to see if something as simple as replacing bad tyres will help matters. I'll just keep my fingers crossed :D Cheers, Robert

    300Tdi Disco bad steering

Thank's for ill the useful suggestions and advice! Noticed the front tyre on the passengers side is unevenly worn - the inside. My first step is to get a set of tyres for the front. Keeping them the same as the back ones, so had to get them ordered in (pirelli scorpion str). They are arriving...

    300Tdi Disco bad steering

Thanks Gratch, Steering damper is not that long new(de-carbon), the wheel bearings seem to be fine (jacked it up and tested for play) and they aren't noisy on the road. Swivel pins... well, i don't know because the 'ABS' light is constantly on (throws up a code for the air gap on the front...

If you know how to weld and can do the work yourself go for it. It would be a shame just to scrap it if its been so reliable throughout the years.

[B][B] Hello everyone! I was wondering if anyone could help me. I'm not happy with the steering on my Disco 300Tdi. The front wheels just seem to do their own thing. Whenever i have to brake its a battle to try and keep the Disco straight - it pulls from side to side. I get the impression as...

    300 tdi tuning (???)

Hello Craig, If you have increased the fuelling, you should increase the air by replacing the intercooler with a bigger and more efficient one. You should see a power increase by doing this. A K&N air filter also adds to the power gain a small fraction.

I even unplugged the alarm speaker/horn thing under the bonnet while my alarm was going off and it still wouldn't stop. The alarm must have an alternative source of power regardless of the battery?? But, ill look it up in the manual and hopefully ill find the answer to my mystery :)

    300tdi alarm problem?!

Could anyone tell me what way i can disconnect the battery on my 1996 disco 300tdi auto without setting off the alarm. I would need to get some welding done soon, and disconnecting the battery is the first step. Don't know if anyone out there came across this problem, but there must be a pretty...
