Pulled up the other day to find fuel dripping from the front driver side of my TD4. Typical - was going to have blast out fishing with her this weekend, guess I will be burying my head under the bonnet, removing the covers and tracking down the leak! Hoping its the spill pipes and not the HP...

Never seen that one before - think I might spend the rest of my lunch break reading through it :)

Yesterday I replaced the air filter and stuck in the fiat thermostat mod - car now runs at a nice temperature, today I am hoping to get the oil and oil filter done. Need to get both cars washed today as well.

I wouldn't have thought so. Have you checked the expansion bottle for cracks? And is the expansion bottle cap OK?

I have noticed that a thread I posted yesterday has gone - and there are no threads on here from yesterday, and also I couldnt get onto the site earlier - has there been a problem with the site? No biggie, and I managed to resolve the issue I was having (well my neighbour did with a big hammer)...

Airlock? Did you bleed the system after fitting it? Just a thought?

Right at the bottom of the wheel arch? Nope there is a circular hole there about 2" dia. So I guess the fbh is a no.

I don't think it does have one, want would I look for if it had? Are they easy to spot?

Just thinking... We had a hell of a lot of rain last night, I wonder if it could be connected. Although I did drive about 5 miles before I heard the noise so if there was anything filling with water I would expect it to have emptied before then?

No, it wasn't a continuous noise like that, when it first happened I though it was the car next to me rubbing it's tyres on the curb, and stopping and starting as it went. As said its such a hard noise to describe!

Aye, sort of. Or water glugging or plopping as it flows through a funnel. It's a really hard noise to describe! And it only seems to do it after i turn the engine off. I will still bleed the system etc at the weekend. Oil and water both look fine and I am bot losing water.

Typical, just drove home popped the bonnet and checked for the noise, and nothing! Will check again later and bleed the pipes at the weekend. It's getting parked up now anyway and switching back to my day to day car.
