    Front seat armrest removal

You must angle the armrest up, roughly 45 degrees or so, to allow the armrest to slide over a retaining lug.

    "New" Classic Owner

It came up so nicely after its wash that i'm guessing there wasn't too much acid in all that pooh! Now you need to do a photoshoot for us on that red P38 in the background :D

    maximum power thru fag lighter?

Good choice to ignore the ciggie lighter route. I was reading some satnav literature ages ago and I'm pretty sure it said that typical ciggie lighters don't like to give out more than 1 amp.

3 questions for wammers or datatech ???

Don't listen to me as I am new to Rangies, but until the Learned Ones turn up I'd like to suggest the airbag sensors are yellow items behind the headlights. I was browsing the Workshop Manual recently and I have a feeling in my bones . . .

    New P38 owner.

Welcome Aaron. I have my fingers crossed that, once you've sorted out the initial bits and bobs we all face on a new purchase, your P38 will behave as well for you as my 1997 baby does for me.

Sorry, no cables or CD's for 2 weeks. Off to do my annual punishment trip to the UK

Ditto - if you find yourself within the vicinity of Eastbourne there'll be a brew and grub for you. Even if you do hate my P38! :D

    RR Classic vs P38

Wow! Datatek! You're posts are always so knowledgeable that I'd assumed you were a fan. I positively chose to have a P38 and I love it. But now we need to know - if you lived in a mild climate with no need for a 4x4, what car would be on your driveway?

    my crap radio/cassette

Fair bet then that its a Clarion PU9836A like mine - especially if it has "RDS EON DIVERSITY" printed below the lcd screen.

    RR Classic vs P38

I have a 1997 4.6 HSE and my partner has a 2003 4.2 TD Land Cruiser Amazon. They are both great in their own way. I'd really hate to part with either of 'em.

Help Please. Which Land Rover has the smallest engine?

Hi Ej, welcome aboard! Have you been in a Land Rover at all? They are quite their own special thing. As a teen I loved being a passenger, but looking back I do recall them as noisy and basic. And then, as Dr Evil mentions, will it handle as easily as you expect?

After lots of thinking ive bought..........a Jeep!

The Grand Cherokee looks great value and I'd actually decided to buy one. I thought I'd just do a quick google for recalls before buying a lovely looking V8 in silver about 10 miles away. I didn't like the debate about whether the fuel tank's location was causing too many fire deaths so I bought...

Welcome! I came to my Range Rover after a BMW 330i Touring. The Rangie is great. (Mind you, so was the Beemer!).

viewd a p38 should i buy it ? and what to look for....

How saggy is the rooflining, especially in the rear? (Yes - I speak from experience!). I wouldn't buy the diesel for myself, but they do have a following - and you've actually driven it and found it to be fine for you. Although I'm very new to RR, it seems to me you've got a good price.

    L.E.D Daylight-Running Lights On P38

desertrover asked: Also, aren't they supposed to be a legal requirement on all vehicles in 2012?.. No. Only new vehicles (cars/vans type-approved after 7 Feb 2011, and trucks sometime in 2012) need them. I have lifted this from the Dept for Transport website: Retro fitting DRL There is no...
