    I used to own an MGF, K series is a bloody good engine, someone must have been on drugs when they put it in a 4x4 though now you can confirm a third thing, I used to own a mincy hair dressers car!

    cant help but wonder if the mod has a disco, as my thread had disapeared! Was only a little rant/fun. You Disco owners shouldnt take the mick, you never know when you might need help from a passing freelander!

    are your brakes binding at all? I had a jag once where the back brake was binding, the wheel was red hot after a long journey. worth a check next time you take it out.

    Ill be launching in a harbour that's basically sand. Apart from that and the odd bit of snow its mainly used on road. I don't want too much road noise but at the minute I've got road tyres on and if you lose momentum then your screwed.

    get Vcu done or not?

    All done! Went up to brum last weekend and gave bell engineering a call and they managed to fit me in that evening and changed the VCU. Car drives a lot better now, no squirming when turning and no binding feeling when on full lock. It also goes a bit quicker, I didnt realise a knackered VCU...
