had this recently, check the rear trailing arms at the chassis end, give them a tug and if theres movement then thats what it is. Its king of like rear wheel steer when you come off the accelerator.

what do you mean by that? the prop the wrong way round? I've just put new ujs in so can't be that.

I've got exactly the same thing, recently i took the rear prop off and the hand brake shoe and it shaking at 40 to 50 then fine. how can i fix this? and what do you mean by binding? Oli

bloody hell, yes i do refer to my car as a car. do you refer to yours as a light 4x4 utility vehicle all the time? i don't know whether you are being serious or are having a wind up here.

at £180ish i think i will give the ****part winch motor a miss, i was just surprised as it been perfectly fine before even after longish use and is a pain in the arse not to have one.

so what does this mean :confused: and the reason i did this was because the free spool isn't great

yes yes i know about ****part and am trying to slowly rid the 90 of it but it came on the car already and has helped me out on a few occasions and to be fair its been on the car for about 3 years and 2 of those had no use from the previous owner but i thought if its just a solenoid or something...

i would take a guess that its a half shaft that has gone on the front or something with the diff. Is it making any weird noises or did it just before it stopped driving?

so if i understand properly the whole half shaft is two separate pieces, one at the diff end and the other at the hub end, they are separated at the cv joint and you are talking about the hub end? and i no not have to remove the cv joint to replace it?

So the front left half shaft on my 200 tdi 92 reg has rounded at the wheel end so that the half shaft will just spin inside of the drive flange, i think that the teeth have snapped or something. anyway i am going about replacing it but i am confused at whether the cv is also replaced or not or...

ok i will give the screw driver a go, i guess it pulling it forward stops it spinning somehow, if not i will give the chisel one a go or hacksaw it. thanks for the help and i will let you know how i get on. just want it ready for any potential snow not that we will get any:)
