Has anyone tried to dismantle the door mirror? Mine is knackered (twisted arm, so pointing to floor!!) and I was going to just buy any old colour replacement and then change my cover onto the new mirror.... Is that possible or just tooooo much hassle?

Thanks guys for replies, I had a feeling it may be the door mechanism, but just making sure. My last P38 never had many probs, so not clued up on all the faults, Obviously this one is going to be a replacement door lock, but it gives me an idea when haggling :D
