Well I put a replacement steering wheel on today and only half the buttons work :confused: I can change radio channels but can't change the mode or volume from the wheel Has anyone come across this problem??? Any advice please

Not really sure what has happened there, but try disconnecting battery for 5 mins and then see if it will reset when it gets power again. worth a try :rolleyes::rolleyes:

I agree, change battery and all will be fine again. other things that can happen is; engine cuts out and stays in 3rd gear clock dials go haywire and dash light and heater all goes off and more error messages.....Traction failure, abs fault, gearbox failure etc Don't worry, just get battery...

Only noticed today that my 4.6 vogue doesn't have the radio buttons on steering wheel :doh: Was it a standard fit or optional and if I buy one with buttons on, do you think the car will have the wires to plug it into? Thinking it may have been swapped for some strange reason as I've noticed...

Well Guys, I replaced the entire lock and window mechenism on n/s rear door and it cured the problem, Interior light now going off when shut and the alarm has now starting working again without any issues. :D Even the lazy locking works now. The wires in the loom had been butchered, looks like...

My dad used to wave all the time when I was a kid, and if anyone broke down the drivers of the same car would stop and help you....... He used to drive a 3 wheeler Reliant, it was just like an extended family :) Ahhh, those where the days and we left the front door open :rolleyes:

For the V8 Rangie I think you need a battery with at least 80amps I have just put one on my other car (Grand Voyager CRD) but cost me £180 :eek::eek: It's called an Optima and they are fantastic for cranking over a cold lump in the mornings, also cos the voyager has electric everything normal...

after looking around today and now more messages on dash I think you are spot on there dogsbody. Am going to get a relpacement door lock for N/s rear so hope that might cure the fault

Hi lads, Not done anything with RF wire yet, Took the car down the road to a remote part and still have the same problems, I presume if it was the rf wire and box it would have been okay away from all masts etc, but still the same :mad::mad: But the car was bleeping about the door being open...

Ok Just swapped the battery with a spare one I had fully charged (13.97v) and it's still doing the same, indicators flashing and int lights come on. Even with car unlocked the interior lights come on and stay on The only new car to the close is mine, bought it last week, but it been fine...

No Not started it going out to connect battery and see what happens Will check the RF wire as well, you think it may be picking up a signal from somewhere?
