Gearbox T-Case oils, 90EP vs. others...

If you say that the engine seemed to be working harder I reckon that's because the layshaft or mainshaft may have started to "tighten" in the bearings due to the oil being thin. Just have to nurse it for a while and see how it goes. Regards WP.

Gearbox T-Case oils, 90EP vs. others...

Stick with EP90 and I wouldn't run it to make the oil more viscous to drain it, just drain it and let it drip for half an hour. Regards WP.

    Help on LRP

Righto, the stuff I used is made by redex and it's widely available at filling stations. It costs £4.99 a bottle and this will accomodate around 5 or 6 tanks of fuel and the redex product code is RDX18. Regards WP.

    Help on LRP

I would use an additive, thats what I've done with my old series engines in the past and they've been fine. Shop around though for the best value though. The one I used was either by wynns or redex and it was excellent value. Regards WP.

    A Dead Land Rover 2a

Then run a fresh wire (parallel) with the original wire from the ignition to the coil, it's worth a try. Regards WP.

    A Dead Land Rover 2a

Just have a look and see if anyone has fitted a seperate ballast resistor on the feed wire from your ignition to the coil. If they have then that may well be at fault. If there isn't a ballast resistor then replace the wire rather than clean the old one up. Regards WP.
