Just finished stripping the donnor disco for my 90. Engine, gearbox, wheels and everything else i can think of is on the garage floor, axles all loose so when it goes back on the trailer we can get them off and weigh it in.

Millage dosent mean all that much if you can do the repairs yourself and have good breakdown cover. Sounds good to me. If there is minimal rust then the sound of the engine is enough

Going to keep both axles off the disco just incase. Eventually would like to fit rear on but would want new brakes first and the toy fund has taken a beating lately.

I have a used but looks fairly new rear section of the exhaust. I am scrapping the car and wondered if anyone wants it for nowt. If not it goes the scappy as not interested in selling. Its off a K reg 5 door 200 tdi

I bought a k reg disco for £460. In the middle of ripping it apart at the moment. Not to sure when i`ll get time to fit it but I have a 2 week shut down the first 2 weeks of august. So if it doesnt get done sooner. Spending ages on here reading all the threads. Have you got the donor bits yet?

Yeah going to put as much as poss on ebay. Just start at 99p and whatever I get is always a bonus

Just picked up a K reg discovery 200tdi as a donor for the 90. Bring on the long weekend!!!!!!!!!!!!

whats the reason for the swop. I have a donnor disco 1 for the 90. What advantage would the swop give me?

I just keep all receipts and write milage and make a note of what replaced, date and milage

defo change the clutch as well. Why do you want to keep the dual mass flywheel? I`ve heard all bad things about them.

Thought I would come visiting. Went to see a k reg 200tdi thats been laid up for poss 6 monthsish. When started there was a fair bit of black sooty smoke. The rear half of the exhaust is in the boot. Now Im Thinking as it started on the button it was just soot build up (so not a problem)...

Mine is a D reg with crappy engine and that has power steering and doesnt look retro-fitted.
