Will do all those things. Will fit a new earth strap as the current one is a little dog eared. Battery terminal cables and solenoid are new.

My 109 waiting for the shopping

Just done my longest journey today to the hills above Holmfirth to pick up an exhaust centre section. Ran very well and the heater earned it's keep.

My 109 waiting for the shopping

Out and about on some errands. Outside the Masonic Hall in Hipperholme (I'm visiting the docs across the road). Got a few waves from other LR owners when out and about Running a better after doing the valve clearances but still struggling in top gear and on hills - work in progress.

My 109 waiting for the shopping

West Yorkshire. We get snow up the hills but I'm down in the valley. Could go and find the snow but just my luck for someone to slide into me as no-one slows down for snow anymore.

They do look similar but definitely a 109 - unless a trolley takes 2 inches off!!

Thanks for the advice. Going to get all the valve clearances, points etc sorted this week and then have a look at the carb. Got another Zenith due this week so can do a rebuild - not sure it will be better after I've done the work!!

    Zenith carb mixture adjustment

It's on the engine side of the carb near the base. Awkward to see from the wing side. If you look at the carb from the wing (6 o'clock) the mixture screw is 11 o'clock near the base. Hope this helps. Been trying to adjust mine today as was running rich. Now I think it's a touch lean as...

    Blocked Zenith idle jet

Well the block seems to have cleared and I have also tried to adjust the carb as it was running rich sooting up the plugs. I have bought a second carb and a rebuild kit so that I can sort it out whilst still having the LR available if the weather turns snowy. Hope the rebulid kit come with...

    Blocked Zenith idle jet

Hi, Whilst out today my LR stopped and wouldn't idle at all just dying. It would stay running if revved so I believe the idle jet may be blocked. It did clear when I got the 1/2 mile home but wondered how I could try to clear anything still lingering in the jet. Is there an easy way to do it...

Hello from Nelly the '57 109

After 2 years I have got Nelly on the road and in regular use. Still plenty to do and no doubt there will be further issues appearing. Not original as renovated on a tight budget.

Hi Innzy, I have this job to do. Did you do anything to the bolts before getting them out? I'm a bit worried about breaking one or more. Cheers Toby
