    My 95 P38 with only 60k has been white smoking on start up. Its never overheated but was heavily pressurising the cooling system and in the last couple of days has even hydraulic locked on starting due to water in the bores. The heads have been removed to find 3 slipped liners ! :eek: The cars...

    Hi Sam Dont waste your time with helicoils, find someone that can fit a Wurth Time Sert, they are superb and should be able to fit in place. They have got me out the sh1t loads of times over the years and when installed properly will never come out. Steve

    Not sure yet, I have a sort of........well, cash agreement with my mechanic, he'll tell me how much he wants when his back pocket gets low of beer tokens, and its usually nowhere in line with any other garage. :)

    UPDATE Modulator rebuild kit fitted, no more clicky pedal, no more loss of brakes !:)

    Local garage to me. Hes not fazed by anything, although the instructions are very comprehensive ( idiots guide ). all done, no bill yet but the fuse box has thrown in the towel as well :doh: so just waiting for a replacement to show up.

    Ive got exactly the same fault, its an ass clenching sensation when it happens !! Ive ordered the repair kit, the guys in Aus not the States tho. Mines booked in to have it fitted next week, will post the results. Steve

    Have a good look at where its coming from. I had the same sympton and It does look like the filters leaking but it was the oil pressure switch (common problem) this is above and runs straight down the filter ! Steve

    Hi Is there any safety reason I cant fit 1 wheel from an 06 L322 to my P38 when the other 3 are from an 02 (same design) The later wheel will require different nuts than the other 3, spigots used. from what I can see the only difference is the nut hole size (23mm instead of 20mm) Thanks Steve
