Recon'd 19J for me. Never had any real problems (yet!) But will probably fit a 200/300 when funds allow.

Off to spend some time lying underneath. Stripping back the chassis for fresh paint/waxoyl. Using some rusteater to try and clean things up. Then wheels off to check hubs and brakes, as i think they'll need done some time soon. And since its semi dry better now than in the ****ing rain!

Oh how i've missed this place :D. Fwiw i'm 21 w 3/points and 2 claims. I'm with elephant at present and my 19j 110 defender cost me about 900 this year. Will be trying Flux or similar for next year though, to get offroad/modified cover too.

Just a quick question as to where folk get there parts? more service/replacement bits than body etc. I avoid britpart. But are bearmach decent? need to get a drop arm joint and track rod ends. But trying to source non ****part!

Haha. Well Im about to get access to a workshop with a pit. Not sure what its equipped with. But can take tools in. Im probably gonna strip the spare one down 1st. As for bolts, everytime we get stainless stuff at work Im setting nuts/bolts/screws of various sizes aside!

Also considering a strip and build. Though just to get it solid and running smooth. Terry You should come down and bring welding kit. We could have fun getting both fixed over a couple weekends or such.

I've got an 86 110 with a 2.5td engine. Though its a turner engineering remanufactured one. So i guess a bit better than the original. Its been fine so far. Though does lack a bit of poke.

I'm based up in Edinburgh. And can only repeat what's been said. It would probably be a long way, but depending on when, i could try and get down to help with the rebuild. And to put faces to names on here :-). Hope all gets sorted out either way!

seems a little high for what it is. is it a 200tdi or 300? the one on ebay has 40k less on the clock, which although not too much of an issue, is still a chunk less mileage. If thats your budget, you could spend less on one needing a bit of work? can be a chunk more satisfying. I've got...
