    101 wheels

I'm about to put a set of 235/85 MT's onto FC rims to go on my 109" as they fill out the arch nicely and are pretty much as big as you can go without making too many compromises The standar FC LR rim is 6.5 inches wide and suits these pretty well. just to confuse matters there are several...

    I'm Flumoxed

that rear axle looks like an ENV used on the one ton and FC. So it is a LR one but I don't believe it was ever used on the stage one. ENV's were often used as a mod to trialers as they are somehwat more robust than standard diffs Cheers Ben

    101 wheels

aye the ones off a 2b will go on.(are they the ones on ebay at the mo?) Of course you'll be overgeared so will struggle on some hills. The speedo will be out and you'll have a turning circle something akin to the QE2 - but what does that matter it will look ace Don't forget to adjust the...

    what are they worth????

the double bumber is a mil feature but often fitted because people like the look. If it is ex mil should also have the mil plate. another sign is the indicator and sidelight are one atop the other rather than side by side Cheers Ben

    Series 1 for Restoration

For 150 you'll have to be pretty lucky to get hold of a S1 these days. the best price I got one at was 350 for a as yella put it "a dog in a field" prob was someone else also saw it so price went up a bit (but it had an overdrive:D ) But if youre patient you might get lucky. A S2 project...

    what are they worth????

get the 109 for £50 and sell the winch to pay for the S2 88" ;) By the way a J plate should have lights in the wings rather than in the grill. Is it ex mil and older than the plate? Or perhaps a PO swapped the fron end? Cheers Ben

    109 chassis, gearbox?????????

sorry I didn't make it very clear. I meant the 2nd cross member if count from the front If you phone up Richards chassis they will be able to tell you exactly. I had them make a new jig using a donor chassis to get the s2a 6 cylinder chassis reintroduced around easter last year so I could...

    109 chassis, gearbox?????????

Yep there are a few differences engine mounts, gear box mounts, 2nd and gearbox crossmember are positioned differntly IIRC. The rest of it is the same. basically the gearbox sits a bit further back to accomodate the longer engine

109 straight six for sale soon

If its running well I reckon min of 50 but depends if you find someone that wants one. I've picked them up between 10 and 100 in the past. Not seen anyone get more than 100 for one in the last couple of years. The six is lovely engine and much under rated in my opinion but unfortunately drinks...

    Hello from Oxford

Thanks for the welcome. If you think I'm bad with having a few too many (is that possible?) landies you should see all the junk in my shed. Does having 6 engines in there mean I've got issues  :D

    Hello from Oxford

Hi, I am a self confessed addict of of land rovers. Ever since driving my first car to college (a 1964 88") I've been hooked. I had a leave of absence from landies during the University years but refound them and started my midlife crisis a little ealy at 30. Currently I own 5, although my...
