    Got myself a Series 3

i dont reckon there is much to say about overdrives, they are a good thing as far as I am concerned. Relatively easy to fit, tools screwdriver for lock tab, hammer, spanner, its a whitworth size on mine i think but others fit.Takes about 30 mins to fit the unit and then a bit extra to fit the...

    windscreen sealing

Just swapping the truck cab roof for a hard top I have lying around, I have replaced the seals around the base of the hard top where it goes onto the tub, but can't recall if there is supposed to be a seal of any description at the front. I have vague recollections of having such a seal but...

    Series 3 convertible questions

Depends on whether it has inertia reels fitted I guess. The newest I have is a 1981 (I think) and these still have the static belts attached to achorages on the top of the rear tub.

    Series 3 convertible questions

Have you thought about taking the roof off with the sides? Oh and on the security side, i reckon there must be better things to do than a crooklock - battery isolator switches are cheap, easy to fit and effective, a switch to cut the coil feed if its a petrol would work well as well. Ignition...

    Looking for my first Landie

Blimey I'd sell yo one for that. Seriosly, start with ebay, put a post up here if there is one you fancy and wait to see what others say about it. Look for a good chassis and overdrive (cheaper to buy one with it that fit it after) free wheeling hubs, if you are going to do a lot of road miles...

    1962 88" v8 3speed auto is it worth repairing

If it had a lumenition, all the wiring would have been there for a jodspark or a maplins own system that takes out the condensor and uses the points as a switch. using your point slike that is good for about 50,000 miles. Run similar in one of my other cars. Its beter than going all out for...

    Series 3 convertible questions

take the roof and sides off, 6 bolts at the back and ten (ish) across the screen Take the door off is easy, don't bother with a tailgate door unless you have something important in the back like beer.

    1962 88" v8 3speed auto is it worth repairing

Got to be worth more mot'd the buyer can drive it home then as well which will get you mor einterest. I'd've swapped out the lumenition myself, or fitted a points only system as that would have saved you faffing with a condensor. Can't you just replace the bit of hose and use a sleeve joiner as...

    series 2a 1968

why don't you just buy exhaust pieces, including manifold pieces and weld them together? They are available in stainless, do you know anyone who welds stainless? costs about 200 for a system. A lot of the hot rod boys make them up from pieces....looks smart when its done. I forget where you need...

    Injector Pumps

As per my other thread, the sherpa has an IP leak. The engine is I believe a 2.5 and its out of a sherpa van. I need to try and source a replacement IP and I wondered from the vague description above whether anyone knew what it was fitted with and whether its used on any other vehicles. I can...

    MOTs

Sent two for MOT this week, my daily drive (sherpa) failed on hub assembly, steering assembly, washer jets and a fuel leak, they quoted it at 260 including the MOT which I didn't think was too bad but on investigation the fuel leak is from the pump. See other thread. The other one which I...

    Buying an exempt log book?

Check out the details above, you do not need much in the case of a landy to retain the reg mark. According to the above. The chassis, gearbox and steering would be plenty......so you could then run a series 3 bulkhead, wings, wiring, rangey axles (or if you just ran rangey diffs you'd be ok I...
