Hello there, recently had an opp on me arm so i've not been on for a while but now that work have let me go for "medical unsuitability" i've got too much free time which needs to be filled. My landy is on the road at the moment but soon to be coming off for major mods i.e going from a derv 110...
I got it from VRS in Derby, it's a synthetic enamel paint, i'm sure you can get it from most trade paint shops. It's used for industrial rollering. They didn't have any exact car colours but they did get swatches out of landrover greens so i could compare them to the syntolac swatches. I was...
My battery frequently runs flat and every time i charge it and re-connect it i have to lock and unlock the drivers door. Mines a 95 300 TDi ES, don't know if it differs from other specs.:)
WORD OF WARNING to anyone who uses syntolac, makes sure it is covered from wet weather for at least 6 days, I've found out the hard way! covered the front with, what i thought, was a waterproof cover but after a heavy down poor i now have an imprint of the material in my bonnet and wing...
Disco axel sounds an affordable option compared to converting the salisbury. Are the ratio's at the diff's gonna be the same or does it even matter? The Def 200 tdi is closer ratio'd than the disco 200tdi i have, is that normal or is it because the def has been converted to 200tdi but using the...
Got a 1990 110 Td that's had a 200 TDi put in a few years ago. I've lived with the questionable braking since then but now thinking to uprate the system a bit. My general idea is to use a disco's master cylinder etc (i've herd they're different, i'm assuming piston diameter). Now will that be...
I had exactly the same problem, fluid level ran out, couldn't select gear and the clutch would slip under hard acceleration. I re-bled the clutch and had 50% travel of nothing. Now the fluid goes down about 10mm a month and the biting point is right at the top, i've just not got round to sorting...
so 12v at both sides of the switch when on, both sides of the fuse, at the posi terminal on bulb holder and a good earth, brand new bulb and still no light? if so then it sounds like my interior light lol :D
Yeah standard brushes, you can use sponge rollers as well. It's syntolac paint which costs around £27 for 2.5ltrs and i've still got about half a litre after painting the 3dr 110. If you get right up close you can see a couple of runs etc but it's good enough for me :D WEB CRASHED WHEN POSTING...
Yeah standard brushes, ya can use sponge rollers but i hate using rollers lol. It's syntolac paint, £25 for 2.5ltrs still got about half a litre left which makes it quite cheap for a 3dr 110. Cost around £50 all together for paint, brushes and thinners etc. Plus you're not as bothered when you...
I have a twin battery set up and run a 12000lb winch quite alot, thing is, the second battery is always turned off, i never need to use, was originally installed for the fridge etc in the back when on holiday. Standard has been fine for me. :)
Thanks for the pics, they both look really good. I can see that there is many different opinions depending where ya come from etc. I've been messin about on photoshop trying different colours so i recon i'll have decided on a colour soon  :D
