    Thanks for the reply, I tried that today and pushing down is stiffer than a car, but coming up no probs at all, and it will go into gear an inch down on the pedal, and will crawl half way on the pedal, good or bad ??

    Thanks for your reply, you havent upset me at all. I am very happy with what I have and I love it, 3800 is pretty good for around this way.. I could have also bought a P reg one a few miles out with 87000 on the clock, but 5k is a big diff to 3800.

    alternator was found to be ok, and was tested today, charging fine, just a dirty connection on the back of it. But a replacement is 55+vat exchange so thats pretty good.:) Paul
