Wipers stop 1/2 way across screen

Have exactly the same issue with mine since my '52 hit 95k. I see the motors are only £35+VAT - assuming those who changed theirs, that it did actually resolve the issue? Has anyone stripped the assembly to repair? Cheers Lea

ACE red light and ACE pump vibration

Red light on last night - can't feel any difference at all! No leaks, plenty of swirling in header tank, an engine restart resets the light to off and it stays off. I'm hoping this is an intermittent (heat related) pressure transducer issue, however the groaning/vibration from the Control...

    Bcu

Wet foot wells! I suffered with this when I first purchased my '52 plate. Check the aircon rubber bung outlets which are designed to let condensed water out. Mine were blocked (very typical) and after a a few weeks (with aircon running) both floor compartments got seriously wet - to the point...

ACE red light and ACE pump vibration

Thanks again for your advice, it's much appreciated. Tonight I expect the RED light as I stop at the same traffic lights after a 45 min constant run, this is its 'normal' trigger. Once lit I normally just restart to remove the annoying beeps (and light) but tonight I'll avoid and chuck her...

ACE red light and ACE pump vibration

Thanks for the link, brilliant :-) Time to begin the read... Oh and get a code reader on it - probably much quicker than my own diagnostics! However, there was an interesting reply to the above post, 'Swap the ACE Relay with the Fog light one and see if that fixes it'. If this relay...

ACE red light and ACE pump vibration

Exactly the same symptoms as mine... ACE warning light @2000 TD5 ES with everything on it. 69000 genuine, not off roaded, tows a caravan regularly. Just returned from a fast visit to Kendal without the caravan (left N Kent 1330 Thurs, back 220 Fri), 700 miles in 36 hours! On the way back...

Thanks for this useful info. I think I'm 'Torsion Bars Locked' as I can't really feel much change when turning. Do you know where the accelerometers are physically located? Thanks Lea

Or the filter gets blocked or perhaps an intermittent pressure sensor? What do you think?

ACE red light and ACE pump vibration

Uhm, the vibration isn't from the ACE pump, I was incorrect. I assumed the ACE pump was within the housing beneath the drivers seal where the ACE pipes congregate, but it seems driven by a belt therefore within the engine. My vibration emanates from the ACE 'manifold' beneath the drivers side...

ACE red light and ACE pump vibration

Hi Guys After resolving the Three Amigos I'm back to my first issue of the ACE red light flashing after a 45 min journey (ish) followed by waiting at lights/traffic. A restart often removes it for a short period, or if I'm travelling at speed after a restart it will remain off until next...

Electric Front Window - Clunk Clunk Stuck!

RH regulator has failed after 5 months light use - poor quality indeed! See here for further info and video: http://www.landyzone.co.uk/lz/f8/2002-window-motor-stuck-fully-open-228229.html#post2612853

'2002 - window motor - stuck at fully open

Interesting, it wasn't the motor's sensor at all. The BCU senses motor current and as such detects up and down stalled conditions thus shutting off the current to the motor at maximum exertion. I discovered the issue was caused by poor grade aluminium, see here...

    Discovery 2 ABS warning lights

Get the codes read, if it's 'SVS Electrical' 11.4 or 13.4 then you need Option B: ABS Mod - LAND ROVER CLUB V.I. I bought the shuttle valve assy too just to be on the safe side, but when removed my original tested fine. No more Amigos :-) been 3 months now :-)

Re Map ? Yes or No

Hi David An interesting point, I naturally assumed the add-on box was amending the mapped values by squirting the flash memory inside? Maybe it's modifying the sensor values rather than actual remap? I can certainly see the point of bespoke and this I suspect is a fundamental difference. I...

Re Map ? Yes or No

I'm down south and am interested in a remap also. I'm trying to compare remap technology and it seems to be either remap the onboard ECU, or add a uC based small external enclosure - not sure where this connects? Guessing the advantages of the eternal enclosure type is that it can simply...
