How abou using mapmyride.com for green lanes?

I see your point. Fair enough. I've been trying to jst nod and grin when people talk about BOATS and ORPAs but don't know what they mean! I just found in this thread ordinary route with public access is ORPA, but whats BOATS? I did do a search, but nothing specific came up!

How abou using mapmyride.com for green lanes?

I thought that maybe if the map name was listed on a thread in this forum it would help put some kind of control on the 'numptys' or 'misguided idiots'. Thats all well and good, and if thats the only way to do it thats what i'll do. It just seems it would be so much easier and cheaper to use...

How abou using mapmyride.com for green lanes?

Hi! After reading through these forums, it seems that getting access to maps of green lanes are not easy at all. I have used this mapmyride.com for finding out the distance for bike rides, and also mapmyrun.com for my runs. I know it doesn't show the green lanes on there, but you can zoom in...

Newbie Landy Owner, anything I should know?

Everything went fine! I got her back on Sunday afternoon. The passenger door popped open a couple of times, as did the drivers door, and the drivers window fell against my head as I was driving but other than that she didn't miss a beat. I had some teething problems trying to start her, but...

    Power steering on a 109"

I was wondering if anyone has added power steering to a non-power steered landy? I have just bought one, and I love the thing! But it would be even better if I could give it power steering! Also, what defines a Safari model? I have a feeling mine is, but not sure! How would I find out? Thanks!

I have no idea! The only dials it has are for speed (which doesn't work), battery, fuel and temp.

About to pick up my first Landy!

Thanks! Here's a pic of me and my landy! It was fun driving it home! I had to pick it up in Liverpool, and drove it to dunstable! The front doors kept popping open, the drivers window fell out agains my head, and the speedo didn't work! And boy is the steering heavy!! That said, it is a...

Newbie Landy Owner, anything I should know?

Thanks for your help. Ok, so basically I need to prepare for a breakdown, and make sure I know how to fill up both fuels(and where the switch is to switch between the two). Anything else? Oh and it's only 170 miles, not 300 like I thought!

Newbie Landy Owner, anything I should know?

Cheers for that slob! Someone at work advised me to take a cushion and some earplugs! I have to drive it 300 miles to get it home.

Newbie Landy Owner, anything I should know?

HI!! I am to pick up my landy on Sunday. Anything I should know before I pick it up? I've never even had a 4x4, let alone a land rover! I watched the Land rover instructional video on you tube, which shows you how to select the different ranges. Do you have to select 4 wheel drive when...

About to pick up my first Landy!

Hey everyone! Just thought i'd pop in here and say hi! I'm going to be picking up a 1973 Series 3 109" 3.5 v8 lpg. I'm just about to do a search on this forum about where my landy fits in the model history. When i've done searches on the net, the first 109" model I could see was made in...
