I'll be removing the fuel lines/tank anyway to get to the under body but it is a v8. How hard would this be, i want to raise the body a few inchs, to get to the top of the chassis to clear the flakey rust and repaint. Is it possible without major time and effort, i was thinking i may be able to unbolt it, jack it up and rest on blocks between the chassis.

    Best way to strip rust?

All of the above, and a cheapo £12 rotary, dremel wanna be spinny around thingy for the awkward bits. Comes in handy with it's little grinding pads and mini wire wheels. The flex shafts you can get come in handy too for getting up in side tight spaces.
